Official RentWhiz Sweepstakes Rules

No Purchase Necessary

This competition is open to all post-secondary students in the RentWhiz Facebook community as of the competition date. By participating in this competition, you are agreeing to these official rules, terms and conditions, which are final in all respects.

How to Enter and Compete

Participants are required to complete all the following actions to be entered into the Sweepstakes by the deadline: 

  • Like and follow our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/RentWhizInc/ 

  • Tag at least one friend in the comments section of the posting and/or share the posting with at least one friend.

  • Comment on their school and major/program 

The deadline for entries to this sweepstakes is Monday September 16, 2019 at 11:59PM MST. RentWhiz Inc. reserves the right to alter the deadline by expressly notifying the public before the previously communicated deadline is reached. Otherwise all entries received after this date and time will be considered invalid.

Conditions 

  • All participants must be a resident of Canada. This is required so RentWhiz Inc. can make a payment to the individual and to ensure all terms and conditions are governed by Canadian law.

  • Contestants cannot be minors.

  • No cash alternatives for prizes will be offered.

  • By entering this competition, you give authorization that your comments submitted for this competition may be used in advertising, promotional and publicity materials.

  • If there are any changes to the competition rules, terms and conditions, all entrants will be notified by RentWhiz Inc. through its Facebook page and/or an announcement in one of it’s Facebook Groups.

  • Entrants can only use one account through Facebook to enter this competition. If an entrant is found to have used multiple accounts to enter the competition they will be disqualified and deemed ineligible for any prize(s).

 Winning and Prizes 

  • RentWhiz Inc. shall select all winners randomly.

  • The winners will be notified through Facebook messenger.

  • The first prize is $150, second prize is $50, and third prize is $25. All prizes are in Canadian dollars.

  • We ask the winners to give RentWhiz Inc. express permission to use his/her name and possibly their image in any publicity material, including on https://www.rentwhiz.ca/, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This is primarily so the public knows the sweepstakes resulted in money being awarded to participants.

  • Any personal data relating to the winner’s or any other entrants, will be used solely in accordance with current Canadian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

  • The winners will be notified within 15 calendar days of the deadline date.

  • If the winner does not claim their prize or cannot be contacted within 15 calendar days of the notification, RentWhiz Inc. reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and either forfeit the prize or award it to another participant.

  • RentWhiz Inc. can deliver payment of the prize money, in person, by mail or by electronic funds transfer (EFT)

All participants agree all rules, terms, conditions and policies will be governed by the laws of Canada.
