Government of Canada Introduces New Entry Restrictions for Some International Students and Foreign Nationals

Recently, the Government of Canada introduced a series of new entry restrictions for some international students and foreign nationals. According to immigration Canada, foreign nationals who had a study permit application approved after March 18, 2020 will be sent a letter (push notification) advising them that

  • they may not be exempt from the travel restrictions

  • they should not make any plans to travel to Canada until the travel restrictions are lifted, as they will not be allowed to travel to or enter Canada
